I am a backpacker, kayaker, biker, rock climber and when I need to replace a piece of equipment or clothing I can always count on Marmot. They are always improving the quality of their products to make them lighter, stronger, and more comfortable. I purchased the avant fatherless hoodie jacket and I am extremely happy with my purchase. The hoodie is soft and warm, almost like bundling yourself up inside a sleeping bag. I can't wait to put it and other Marmot gear to the test as I hike 2197 miles on the Appalachian trail from Georgia to Maine thru-hiking. I am currently using a Marmot 2 man tent that I have had for at least 10 years and have never had any issues with it. Great Quality as always! If your on the wall about purchasing this jacket don't be. Invest in yourself, you deserve it. I guarantee you that once you give Marmot a chance you will see how great their products are! All the features of down but none of the hassle
The go to for everyday winter in the Midwest. The 3M “featherless” synthetic insulation has the properties of 700 fill down but you can get it wet and not even worry! Yes it’s a little heavier than down but the durability and the no fret of it is amazing

Great fit and noce looking jacket

Great jacket!
I was shopping for a decent, but affordable jacket for fall/winter. Where I live we don't usually have a brutal winter, so I decided to go with the Avant Featherless Jacket. I haven't had the chance to try it outside yet, as it is still quite warm where I live. But upon receiving my jacket and trying it on, the fit was perfect and I loved the color (stargazer). I would definitely recommend this jacket.
