Great all around jacket
I took this jacket into the Rocky Mountains for 10 days backpacking during monsoon season (Philmont). The jacket was rained and hailed on 7 of the 10 days. Each down pour was extensive for 1-3 hours. Most of the crew (12 members) had a variety of other brands. We all found that my jacket was the preferred. Some jackets were not waterproof as advertised. The armpit vents and rip cords are all in the right place, allowing for a comfortable and breathable backpacking trek in the rain.

Good rain protection for the price
I needed a lightweight rain jacket that could pack down into a small space in a backpack but offer decent protection from rain. Previous products I'd bought had failed to stay dry sooner than anticipated. This jacket is a huge improvement in this category and offers decent rain protection for the price.
