Men's Waypoint GORE-TEX Jacket
Product details
Web ID: 19736756Another Great Shell
Marmot is my go to brand for technical gear. I like the no nonsense styling of the brand and that holds true with the Waypoint shell. It repels water like a duck, is breathable and the fit is perfect for me to layer lightly.

Waypoint GORE-TEX Rain Jacket
First, this jacket is functional and works. Sheds the rain and is breathable. Has some room to move, which is great. I can do outside work in it while it's raining, which is what I love about it.

I wanted to like this jacket
These raglan sleeves are for somebody with no shoulders. I wouldn’t know who could possibly wear this. Backpackers and everyday wearers do not like these sleeves in coats. I never liked raglan sleeve t-shirts either as they look cheap. I only chose this because the Precip jacket no longer has a breast pocket. I have had Marmot for decades and now I have to go somewhere else. No worries as there are plenty of choices in raincoats with other competitors. Stop cheapening your rain coats. People pay for features, not sacrifices or half steps. I want proper structured sleeves, pit zips, standard low pockets, 2 breast pockets, not just 1, and a stowable hood. Navy color. Very disappointed in Marmot leadership. Bye bye.

Avoid, this thing sucks
Really disappointed with this jacket. I used to have a Minimalist (Gore-Tex version) and absolutely loved it. It lasted me literally ten years before wetting out and delaminating. I bought this as a replacement and it not only cost more, it also feels like a lesser jacket. I really hate the 2.5L vs the 3L construction. It feels like this is something I’d buy at a mall, AKA poor quality, vs from a ski shop. Would return if I could. I hate wearing it. The fit sucks too. It just feels like a substantially worse product.

It stands up so far
My son loves this coat! He thinks it's neat because you can air out your arms because of the zippers by the armpits and all the extra Pockets that you can store stuff in my son wore it when it was a light rain and said that he never his shirt never got wet. He even dropped a hot item on there and you can't even tell it was burnt. The fit is perfect. I was giving this for my honest review.

PNW Dry Dream
A true Pacific Northwester’s dream jacket! This is my first Marmot jacket, and I’m officially a convert. I took it on a hike through the rainforest, where the constant mist and rain usually leave me feeling damp and uncomfortable—but not this time. The jacket kept me completely dry without that clammy, sticky feeling that so many raincoats have. It’s impressively lightweight, making it easy to pack and wear without feeling bulky. Whether you're trekking through the woods or just navigating a rainy day in the city, this jacket is a game-changer.

Very nice lightweight jacket
This jacket is very lightweight but it protects from all the elements very well. It is breathable but yet still repels the weather, the rain just rolls right off it, and doesn’t make you get all hot and clammy while wearing it. Even the hood is breathable. It has extra pockets to hold all your stuff. It has a nice smooth soft zipper with velcro straps to strap around your wrist to also help keep the air out. The hood has a nice small visor on it so it can help keep the sun out of your eyes. The collar of the jacket actually goes up high enough to cover part of your face to also help block from any weather. It is very nice to pack and takes up little to no room and not weigh your bag down. Got a size medium for a 6’ tall male weighing around 160 and it fits him perfect.
