THIS REQUIRES ASSEMBLY by TWO PEOPLE

This piece of furniture requires assembly although it doesn't state that it does require assembly. I even chatted with the MACY's chat customer service and that person also indicated that the piece was already assembled. The box indicated that it would only take 10 minutes to assemble. It took 10 minutes to get it out of the box. My husband and I finally got it all together two hours later. I would not have purchased it if I knew it needed to be assembled. I was trying to avoid this. You do need two people to assemble it. It is quite heavy and large. This reason is why I am disappointed. Overall, the piece of furniture is well-made, sturdy and actually looks more expensive than what it costs. That is the only reason why I decided to assemble it and keep it.
