Attractive, discreet, functional

Overall I'm pleased with this coat rack: It fits where I need it to, in a small space; it was mostly straightforward to assemble; and the appearance is attractive. The only issues I had were that it was somewhat difficult to center the weighted base inside the metal cover in order to secure it--a real balancing act doing it alone. Also--oddly--the wood at the top of the assembled "pole" looks and feels unfinished. It is rounded, and I would have expected it to be smooth like the rest of the wood surfaces. But it's somewhat rough. Not really a problem, just odd. I often hang my hat or cap on it.
