Cute but tighter fit than expected

I love the look of this denim dress. It’s super gorgeous in its design and shape. Sadly, it is very tight fitting even though I wear a medium. I am not big busted but I can barely close the buttons! I am debating on whether I should keep it and drop some weight, or just return it. Other reviews mention the weird fit as well. It’s hard to decide because it really is a lovely dress!!
