The OXO good grips long reach dusting system includes an extendable pole and three interchangeable heads that pivot and lock into a variety of positions to tackle dust at any angle. The stainless steel pole extends up to 8' and collapses to 3' for convenient storage. The machine washable microfiber head features long, fluffy fibers for reaching into nooks and crannies. The cobweb duster has flagged bristles for trapping dust and webs, and the closed loop duster cleans all sides of ceiling fans in a single motion, without rotating the fan. Too rough for the blade!

I trust OXO to make well thought out products and have many of their products in my home. I bought this for high ceilings in a new house with five ceiling fans. However, the attachment for the fans is pretty useless and might even damage a fan. It is a tight and rather stiff, oval shaped brush made to slip over the blade. When trying to do this over your head, looking up, attempting to wiggle it over the end of the fan blade. . . give up. Fans move even when off and are balanced, in this case off a long drop rod. I was afraid to force it and whack out the balance of the fan or even get it stuck on the blade. I could however use the fluffy duster that looks like a microphone with a wind duff on it on the fan. The pompom type brush is also stiff but should be fine for high corners and cobwebs. I think the fan brush should be softer and much wider with a bigger center opening so that it gently and easily slips over a fan blade high up. So far, the extension pole is sturdy and easy to lock into position. I'm 5' 4" and could reach my fan hanging from 14' ceiling just fine. Not with the fan blade brush though!

Sturdy system

Nice extension pole. Extra long and heavy duty so no wobbles. Cobweb duster is flattened on one side from box, but otherwise I'm happy with the system.

How do you keep it extended?

I have had two of these, both with the same problem. After a few times of use it stops locking into place. Can someone tell me what I’m doin wrong?

Not a good tool for cleaning

Not a good for cleaning. Not holding heads strong in pivot positions.Changing directions while cleaning and bumping to walls.
