First Patricia Nash purse purchase

I first saw this purse in the store and began to covet it but couldn't afford it. When it went on sale, I had to buy it. It's a truly gorgeous purse. The only thing I would change is the clunky chain strap. It's distracting and noisy

Black Beauty...

I have several Potenaz Frame bags and really like them. I use them for church or an evening out...perfect size for my phone, glasses, keys, lip gloss and ID/credit card. I wear silver jewelry more that gold so I like that the Black Velvet is accented with Silver Starburst...so elegant. Also, looks great with denim jeans and jacket. I don't have a problem with it closing when the chain strap is out.

Beautiful,but don’t like chain strap

Beautifully crafted and embroidered! But the chain strap is awkward and uncomfortable, and doesn’t function well. Can not recommend.

Stunning but Defective

As a clutch, there are no words to describe just how beautiful this bag is. I got it in the black and the metallic starbursts on the velvet are drop dead gorgeous, detailed and intricate. This is a bag that will definitely get compliments left and right. But like one of the other reviewers, my bag also has a defect to the tabs on the chain strap that render the strap completely useless--my bag can't be closed at all if the chain is out. I have many other Potenazes, all of which I use with the chain straps, and have never had any kind of issue like this before. As far as I can tell, the problem appears to be that the piece that attaches to the hinge should be bent to form a "v" shape, but on my bag it is completely flat. I may try to fix the issue with jewelry pliers, but obviously that shouldn't be something you have to do to make a bag function properly. As I have said, I have purchased many Potenazes over the years and all of them have worked perfectly as both clutches and shoulder bags. It's such a disappointment considering how stunning this bag is.
