Elegant and sexy

I am 5'7, 130. I could not decide whether I needed the small or medium so ordered both, and still had a hard time deciding. The sleeves hung slightly loosely on the medium, and I have average arms so I chose the small, and am very happy with it. It is lined, somewhat heavy, and the ruching at the side is a little more pronounced than the picture but I imagine those features help hide any imperfections well. The neckline is a little wider and lower, and the length slightly shorter than the pictured dress. I wore it to two holiday events, with patterned tights and 3 1/2" heeled suede booties, an elegant crossbody velvet evening bag and felt elegantly dressed AND sexy. I can see this dress becoming one of my favorites.

Absolutely the best little black dress

Stunningly simple!

This "cold shoulder" black dress was the perfect pick for my 25 lb. weight loss "reveal"! It made me feel so slim and stunning. I wore a set of faux pearl earrings and a matching double strand necklace to complete the look. I received many compliments on my selection at the Sunday afternoon wedding to which I wore this new ensemble!

Disappointing

Look, sometimes the reviews and description aren't enough. This was a bit more slinky than I wanted. My mind was running more like a light sweater knit. More everyday however this is is a wedding, cruise, big date night dress in my opinion. In this particular case, I suspect this dress was previously purchased and worn and then returned. Stale perfume and body odor. I made a note with the return as this was overpowering and the second time this has occurred with Macy's. Ladies, don't do that. Macy's I think you need to check items with a sniff test before you ship (the price tag had been torn off at the price perforation).
