We have the chrome Radley sectional for 9 years. We just moved it out of the media room it’s been in to perform a deep clean and noticed how well it’s held up. We use it quite often and it’s comfortable, and not showing signs of wear. I must add, we have no children or pets on the house. Based on our satisfaction of the Radley, our adult children have bought the Radley, as has several of our friends. We’ve had great luck with Macy’s furniture, having furnished our new, at the time, downsized house with Macy’s furniture products. Great customer service in the store and with delivery. We bought an expensive mattress and after a few months decided we didn’t like it. Macy’s allowed us to exchange it for something different. We’re fans of Macy’s Furniture.
Chaise Length Shorter than Advertised Dimension
The couch overall is comfortable, but I’m giving two stars because the chaise length does not match the product dimensions listed on Macy’s website. The chaise depth is listed as 64", but the delivered piece measures at most 61" (see photo). I previously owned this exact same couch for many years and liked it, which is why I purchased it again. With my previous couch, my feet rested comfortably on the chaise. With the new one, my feet hang over the end, which is uncomfortable and kind of defeats the purpose of a chaise. I contacted Macy’s about the discrepancy. An inspector was sent out, and I received confirmation the merchandise was deemed defective, and an exchange was authorized. Based on that, I was hopeful it was an isolated defect. However, when Macy’s arrived to complete the exchange, the replacement chaise was the same 61" length. This seems to indicate a broader manufacturing issue, or an error in the product specifications.
color of couch is different from sample color
The couch arrived today in good condition but is more gold than brown. We ordered this couch 10 weeks ago. This color is gold .
Comfy but terrible material
Besides the mess with a postponed delivery, the couch after 3 months was piling. Someone came to assess and said it was normal wear and tear. About a month later the seams of the couch ripped open and I had to pay an upholsterer to come and fix the couch. On the other hand the couch is very comfortable. I also picked a different fabric than the one shown and I’m guessing it wasn’t a good idea.
Worst Couch Ever Purchased
I purchased this couch in 2022 against my better judgement after reading the reviews. I wanted a specific green and liked the shape of the sectional. Upon delivery the cushions were already lumpy and under stuffed. I sent an email to my sales rep and they were supposed to send someone out to take a look - never happened. 6 months in, there was already piling on the seat fabric and back cushions were super lumpy. Now a few years in, we are already long overdue for a new couch and have covers over them because they look so bad. Two springs are also broken. My sister in laws couch from living spaces is 2x older than ours and is in perfect condition compared to this one. DO NOT PURCHASE unless you want to replace in a year.
Sectional review
I bought a radley sofa decided I was not happy unable to return after 3 days. Would never buy furniture from Macys again. Customer service horrible;
Surprisingly Pleased... A perfect fit!
Though we had a little hiccup or two on the delivery side of things, Macy's customer service was great and did the right thing to alleviate the issue. Before unpacking (which I recommend doing yourself, there is little to no assembly - easy for two people), we noticed some squirrel droppings and urine on the exterior packaging (another strike against the storage and delivery contractors...) BUT the pieces are packed so very well that there was no damage whatsoever. (Just make sure you have plenty of drop cloths down). Our pieces were delivered on a wet/muddy day, so we had to navigate that. We don't have a big living room space or house for that matter, but once we got them out of the packaging, the four pieces and pillows included were easy to move around and configure -- and we couldn't be more pleased: plenty of room and comfort for us two adults with our two small kids. Big upgrade from our previous cheapy sofa.
OK
Sectional looks great, however when delivery came in—there was a big cut on the fabric at the bottom of the wedge. It was reported for a tech to come fix. After two weeks, Tech came and somehow did not have the “parts” to fix it so we now had to call customer service to order the part. Supposedly, once the part arrives, we would need to call and schedule a new tech to come fix it. This whole process has been over 1.5 month with multiple phone calls and the “item” hasn’t even been shipped. Very disappointed with the service and poor coordination from Macy. At this point I would not recommend this item.
