The Rock' Em Sock' Em Robots™ game has been scoring knockouts since 1964 but rolls out something different with this edition -- a die that determines who's knocking, and who's blocking! The Red Rocker™ and Blue Bomber™ robots still have fists at the ready to be the first to knock their rival's block off. Manual controls on the ring's joysticks put the players in charge of all the punching and jabbing fun. But in this edition, rolling the die determines which robot need to go on the defensive and hit the BLOCK button, while the other goes on the offensive and hits their punch button to KNOCK! Waste of money

This item never worked , the toy got stuck and my son was not able to play with it at all.

Great toy for 7 yr old!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got Rock 'em Sock em robots for my 7 yr old son and he LOVES it! He has so much fun playing with his friends and really likes the action. It was easy to set up and it can take the boys' rough play! I'd recommend this toy to my friends.

Wonderful, updated version of a classic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to introduce my kids to Rock’em Sock’em Robots and this updated version was a hit! It’s fast paced, easy to pick up and fun for many different ages. My kids 8 and 11 both enjoyed playing round after round of this game!

New twist on an old favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took a little bit to get the hang of it and it’s fun for a short amount of time. My kids and I played as instructed, but also began making up games of our own with it. Overall it was fun, but not too competitive.

A fun spin on the original but not as fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son kept telling me that he wishes we had gotten the original game instead. Having the ability to block punches and using the dice to determine who hits seemed fun to me but I think my kids just wanted the ability to keep punching until a robot's head popped off. That being said, my 7 yo son thinks this is hilarious. It definitely tests your reflexes, and it's pretty funny when you hit the other robot. We have it out on our coffee table just for a quick jaunt here and there but otherwise it doesn't hold our attention for more than 5 minutes.

A fun reimagining of an old classic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My six year old and I had a fun time playing this game. Quick to setup and get playing. Really had fun and love the classic look of the robots. Highly recommended. The only thing I wish Mattel would do is have the die printed and not use stickers. The photo directions for the stickers were a bit confusing.
