Men's Code Red Wildlands 77 Fire Boot
Product details
Web ID: 22582543Lowest eyelet over my big toe joint
These boots are super light and love that they have a wider toe box. Unfortunately, the lowest eyelet sits squarely above my big toe joint and it is incredibly uncomfortable when hiking. The boot creases right there and it's not ergonomic for my foot shape.

Okay but needs major improvement
Bought before the fire season this year with high hopes. I have gotten the predators many many times and I love how light they are. Because I fight fire I was looking forward to Rockies fire boot due to the more aggressive tread. I didn't love these boots though. The tongue is terrible. There is so much material and it isn't flexible enough so you're forced to train the tongue and it flat out sucks. The tongue material is also way too thick. The eylets on the boot (particularly the ones closest to the toes) are too aggressive on the inside of the boot and it was rubbing my feet badly. Overall I didn't like this boot and will be sticking to the tan predator boots for fire season.

Tough to break in
I have had these boots for about a year. They are well constructed but I have issues with them rubbing the skin off the inside of both my legs. I have tried an extended break in period with no results. As a firefighter for 35 plus years. These have been the toughest boots to get use to.

If your wildland you want these
I bought these to replace the standard woodland fire boots as they are heavy and hot. These are comfortable out of the box and do not cook you your feet as bad as the thick leather ones.

Comfortable boots
I bought these for an upcoming deployment. I wanted a hiker style boot which was affordable. I was uncertain about sizing and width but they seem true to size. I’ve only worn them for chorin’ for the last two days but they don’t seem to need much breaking in.

I really like specific features!!
I got these a few months ago, but I live in Florida. This is only the 3rd time I’ve worn them. The upper is kinda tight, but it form fits way better with the tongue being shaped how it is. If you’re planning on fighting fire in them, I’d definitely break them in. For real, like for a Month, at least 10 days. The ankle lace grommets are awesome and the new shape of the tongue specifically. They seem to breathe well, as they should and they’re not waterproof, as they shouldn’t be. Not safety toe(which I appreciate, being old school), overall they’re Badass!!! I like the weight, not too heavy but not light. You’ll know you’re wearing them, until they’re really broken in. The soles are vibram tactical and rated for EH and PR , so enough said. The rough out leather is super easy to clean and keep clean. They’re Black in color with red nomex stitches. They’re a great looking, low profile Boot!

Tough as nails 💅
Rocky boots are hands down the best boot on the market. The special forces units and all military uses this brand for ruck boots which means you can eat- sleep, and run in this type of boots. The firefighter model exceeds any logger boot (high heel) which is outdated and terrible for your back. Rocky boots are tough and hold up to the rigors of wildland fires. Just like any boot you cannot stand in a hot ash pit...Thank you Rocky boots.

Great Boot at a Great Price
I had foot pain from my loggers due to the hard insoles, so I needed to change to a hiker-style boot. This boot seemed reasonably priced for me to try, and I am so glad I took the chance. The quality is fantastic for the price, and these boots are extremely comfortable. I highly recommend you give these a shot if you want to try the hiker-style wildland boot without breaking the bank.
