USMC Tropical Puncture Resistant Boot
Product details
Web ID: 22593561Not enough space between the laces.
Nice boot but the width between the laces is too narrow for me it is an inch and a half which bunches up the tongue material and it's just plain uncomfortable. This is a boot for someone with fat ankles I normally wear a 9.5 wide and I bought a pair of Rocky S2V Enhanced Jungle boots in the same size and they fit like a glove. Its because the S2V has two inches of space between the laces so the tongue material of the boot doesn't bunch up so much. I hope Rocky fixes this problem with the boot so hopefully I can wear a pair. I unfortunately had to return these.

Overall best USMC boot for grunts
Have had my pair of Rocky’s for nearly 2 years now, I have drug them through every element and they stood the test of time. Only complaint I have is the back side where the heal sits was always very stiff and created blisters especially after being crusted with mud. Overall lightweight, durable, comfortable, and sexy.

Widest authorized usmc boots, widest boots I’ve found as a EEEE. They’re not as light as Belleville ultralights or reckonings but I personally can run better in these, I think the way my foots lands is less awkward. I don’t recommend these to people without really wide feet who are looking for PT boots, these are definitely better field boots.

boots kill the ankles
I have had these boots for over 9 months and they suck. Break in period took over a month and boots have hard soles. The ankles kill, I'm not sure why but the way the laces lay or the stiffness of the leather just hurt the top of the foot. Go buy some Danner jungles.

Causes blistering on the side of the foot
Went on my first run with these boots today, and they are awful. Sure, the ankle support is good but nearly all boots in this price range are good on that. The inside of these boots have a nudge on the inside that will chafe and pull onto your skin as you run in them. Ended up causing me blisters after my first run. My Danners didnt do that, and thats because the inside is smooth along the sides so your feet dont end up getting pulled on any notches. Not worth it if you are doing movements of any sort, as it will become an issue.

Uncomfortable
Had high hopes for these boots but upon wearing quickly realized they are terrible for hiking. The bottoms are very stiff / never ease up. Just use them if I need clean boots in garrison. If 03 or any field mos do not waste your money like I did.

Hello, we apologize the boots did not work out for you, we will send this message over to our Quality Control and Product development team for their review.
Shape fits better than other EGA boots, but stiff
These boots have a much better natural foot shape, great for my extra-wide feet, no other usmc authorized boots cut it. Only thing is they definitely earn the title “rocky”, they feel hard and stiff on your feet and lower shin.

Worthless
I've had these boots for less then 12 months, I have never done physical fitness or any long hikes in them. The back of the heal has split apart. After talking to some Marines that have the same boots they have the same problem.
