I really appreciate the backlit feature for my bedroom tv, only wish you could include a headphone jack which would make it so much better for those of us in a shared bedroom. I’ll be using two different remotes. Also, hoping you can include numbers like my Xumo has for your next improvement. Overall, I love Roku and have been using since the beginning

5 Stars for Advertising!!!
I was to replace my remote with an actual Roku brand remote, but they all have the same problem. Below the picture describing the buttons, "App shortcut buttons may vary" and the box picture shows four BLANK app shortcut buttons. So, basically Roku is saying, "Buy our products. Oh, by the way, we cannot tell you what you are going to actually get." So there are four buttons devoted to advertising that the customer may not use. :-(

Great just drains battery pretty fast
Love the remote I just wish there was a way to disable the backlight on the remote. It seems to help drain the battery. I don't need light in the daytime. The remote seems to last a month or 2 but I guess I can charge it while I'm sleep?

Liked it at first
At first I was excited by the light up buttons and its charging capabilities, I’ve not had this a year and now it won’t charge. It won’t turn on, turn off. Nothing just dead. I’ll go back to batteries and blindly clicking buttons in the dark.

Worked great then.... not so much
I bought this version (Remote Pro 2) because it was advertised (at the time I bought it) as a motion-activated backlight. They said you could pick it up and it lights the buttons. It did that very well... until about 8 months into me having it. Now I actually have to press a button for the backlight to work. Kinda hard when the room is dark and I can't see what button I can press that won't disrupt the program. I notice they changed thair advertisements to say "touch-activated" now. That doen't work well in a dark room.

When working as intended, the buttons will light up automatically as the remote is picked up or moved, no need to press a button, which makes it easy to use in dark rooms! If that ever stops working as expected again, a quick reboot, re-pairing, or recharging of the remote usually does the trick, just as you experienced. Second one I bought
OK, it has no batteries; charge it overnight. I tried to pair it 10 times, reading every how-to comment, but neither will pair. But it works when it is in pairing mode, then it times out, and I have to be within 5' of the sound bar. OH, but everyone is an expert, noting I do work what garbage

Usb-C great!! but..
I have the 1st edition pro remote and bought the 2nd edition for the Usb-C charging. As all I have and use in my house is type-C, however compared to my 1st edition I am now without a headphone jack and down 1 custom app launch button. Which is a big down side for me, so I am just going to have to swap remotes when I need to use my headphones. So if I still have to use my old model there's no point in the new one if features are being left out.
