Almost too wide

Wide toe box is helpful to not squeeze but it also requires thick socks so your feet don't slide around. Also, the hight of the shaft/leg is akward and does hit against the shin quite a bit. The heel is nice and the leather is soft.

Better wear thick socks, tights or leggings

I ordered my usual 8.5B size and these fit fine with plenty of toe room. I bought these to replace a similar style of booties I had before by another maker which I wore a lot. These are a tiny bit higher heel but still comfortable. I agree with the other reviewer that the shaft comes up a bit higher and slightly narrower than other boots. Since the leather is stiff, you will feel the top of the boot when you walk. This is going to hurt if you have to walk long distances all day, and you are doing it without tights, leggings or high socks. It helps to partially unzip the top of the boots to give your legs a respite if needed if your shins are bothering you. Despite this, I kept the boots but I took off a star.

First time buying this brand.

First time buying this brand. True to size. Even after standing on my feet all day, they still fit comfortably. The top of the bootie has no give and it hits my shin when I walk. May get uncomfortable if you are planning to wear them for an extended period of time.
