Too firm for my liking

I wanted a firm mattress and that's what I got, unfortunately it is not well cushioned and I cannot sleep on it. I am a side sleeper and i wake up with my ribs hurting ewach morning. It would be OK if I slept on my back but I flip around too much to like this mattess. I will be returning it and looking for something else.
