Not For Every Mattress

Make sure if you purchase this or any base, that the mattress you use is flexible and can bend in the places this base is designed to bend. My mistake was purchasing a 15" thick mattress and discovering it can't bend at all. All the base did was raise the mattress without bending anywhere so that the more the head part was raised, the more the mattress slanted to the point of making me feel I was sliding downward. A rigid mattress can't take advantage of the features of this type of adjustable bed base. Make sure your mattress is flexible like a latex or other foam type mattress to take advantage of the the features of this adjustable base.
