Looks beautiful but huge disappointment

I have a very small wrist and I was looking for nice dressy black watch without any silver or golden hardware around it, just fully black. I bought this at Macy's as it looked beautiful on my wrist, and I got the strap size adjusted for my wrist. I wore it only second time at the party last night and when I went to use the restroom, I found the watch on the restroom floor and I was surprised. I am glad I saw it, otherwise I would have come home and gone frantic as to where did I lose my watch. Due to holidays, we were party hopping from one party to another going thru elevators and stuff and it would have been impossible to pinpoint where I lost my watch. It broke exactly where it clasps. I thought very high of Skagen but very disappointed. I don't think Macy's would accept my return any more since the return window is gone but I was wearing it only second time. I would like to see if Skagen can refund my money if I provide a receipt.
