What happened to Spode Christmas Tree?

I was extremely disappointed in the quality of both the tartan and traditional versions of the Spode Christmas Tree Tidbits that I ordered online. The image of the tree and santa was terrible: very bleary and almost pixelated, certainly not the sharp image of older pieces. I immediately returned to my local store. Something has changed with the manufacturing of this pattern and I would not recommend ordering these, or other products, without inspecting them in person.
