cute - runs small

I have another pair of Style and Co jeans that are a size 8 and they are very roomy. I ordered these in a 6 and I can’t even pull them up. I run between a size 6 and 8. I am 5’3 and 135 lbs but the size six in these were way to small. I’m going to have to return. now I’m unsure if I should order an 8 or 10 based on not even being able to get these up! length seemed great and I like the color - wild heart. But I’m my opinion they run very small.
