I guess we may be dumb....

First and foremost, we appreciate the effort put into writing this game. Secondly... it sucked. All four of us could not figure out what we needed to do to progress into the later puzzles. All of the puzzles were too open-ended to figure out, and there was zero instruction for what we needed to do next aside from hints, which ranged from purely unhelpful to essentially instructions. A better balance between the two extremes would have been more enjoyable to play out. As such, it seems like the kind of game that has its own language and expectations to solve it, prior knowledge that we did not have.

This was entertaining!

We played this on vacation with five people, two couples plus one millennial son who was very helpful. It was somewhat hard, but not awful. One time we had to resort to asking the deck for an answer and twice we had to resort to asking the deck for a hint but otherwise we did OK. Everyone contributed a bit although our millennial did the most and had to do a bit of coaxing to get the rest of us into the spirit of “figuring things out.” We successfully escaped. We would try one of these games again sometime, but we all agreed that we had better stick to the ones for ages 10 and up because the ones for ages 12 and up would probably be too hard for us.

Love this!

I have to disagree with the 1 star rating this game (sunken treasure specifically) was great. I only needed one hint card and love how it doesn’t reveal the answer to you until you get it right. I will be buying more if not all of these for cheap at home date nights!

This game is hard and unsatisfying

My family (20+ year olds, not kids!) love escape rooms and puzzle games and do them all the time. This game was absurdly hard (despite the “easy” rating) and not satisfying at all. The solutions provided were a tough stretch and barely even made sense. My daughter also had the advent calendar by this company and it was equally as awful, she hated it. Would not recommend their games
