Ooh my heart. I loved coming back to this compelling world. The characters are so rich and inviting. The authors skill at banter and character development is truly beautiful to behold. The plot was a mighty twisty one. The relationship and spice were intense. I absolutely adored every part of this story.

Better than the first!
I don’t always read romance, but this witchy romance subgenre has definitely become a fave after this book! The Ex Hex was really good, but the Kiss Curse was GREAT, imo! I absolutely cannot wait for book 3 in this series! And hopefully more Sir Purrcival!

So Cute!!
In the spirit of spooky season I was really feeling a cutsie Halloween romance and y’all - this one so delivered! I l read and loved the Ex Hex last year so I was excited for this one and it was just as adorable. I feel like the vibes were so perfect and Sterling’s writing style was just so entertaining. The romance between Gwyn and Wells was also very cute and I really enjoyed their dynamic. Overall this was perfect for what I needed and I thoroughly enjoyed. Rating: 4/5⭐️

Great witchy vibes!
The Kiss Curse takes place about a year after The Ex Hex, and much has changed since then. It’s now the Jone’s family’s magic that fuels and protects Graves Glen. Vivi has married Rhys and left town for a trip with her new husband, leaving Gwyn to take the wheel. One of the things I love most about this series is how the women are characterized in terms of romance. They are fully comfortable in themselves and their lives, making the romance a pleasant addition to their lives rather than a necessity. In this book, Gwyn loves her life. She loves her family, she loves her store, and she even loves her new role as mentor to the three “Baby Witches.” So, of course, enter Wells, the brother of her cousin’s husband, against whom she’s holding a grudge. Because he didn’t, in her eyes, bother to show up for the wedding. To make it worse, he opens a high-end witchcraft shop across the street. But all of that pales when a new threat rears its ugly head. The book is a perfect blend of romance, witchiness, humor, and mystery. An enjoyable read!

Amazing enemies to lovers!
I love a good witchy romance!! This is a great sequel to The Ex Hex and I rarely think that a sequel is better than the first but in this case it is. Funny and spicy.

A witchy romance, sequel to “The Ex Hex”
More witchy magic, little bit of everything from humor, and romance. This was the follow up sequel to the first book, “The Ex Hex”, but this time it was centered on Gwyn and Wells. Graves Glen was still the small town that Vivi (Vivienne) and Gwyn lived in, but now they were more involved in the town after learning that their ancestor was the actual one who founded the town. With more responsibilities, magic, and now dealing with Wells (Rhys older brother) it seemed like Gwyn was going to have a lot to work on… or in her case deal with. In this book, Gwyn was still the same laid back, funny, and at times rebel at heart. Gwyn was focused on trying to make ends meet at her and her mom’s shop, but with the arrival of Wells and his new store, it seemed like there was a mini battle brewing. Wells, having originally stayed majority of his life in Wales and running the pub all previous Penhallows had run, wanted a change in his life, as well as bring back the honor and distinction of his family’s name to Graves Glen. Wells and Gwyn were opposites such as, Gwyn being more fun loving, bit rebellious, whereas Wells was conservative, serious, and grumpy at times. Despite the initial beginning with Gwyn and Wells not getting along, they both couldn’t help feeling attracted towards one another. If you’ve read the previous book, “The Ex Hex”, then you’ll understand this story as well as see familiar faces such as, Vivi and Rhys. Since the last book, Vivi and Rhys were now married and still living in Graces Glen. All seemed happy for the loving couple, whereas Gwyn felt sort of left out seeing people she knew and loved had moved forward in their lives, with their respective spouses, fiancé’s, etc. Gwyn longed for both an emotional and physical relationship with someone. Meanwhile, Wells, still running the family pub in Wales was doing much and felt like his time at the pub wasn’t what he originally wanted anymore. With the idea of moving to Graves Glen to bring back the importance of the Penhallow name, Wells packed up and set off. Now with Wells living in Graves Glen, opening his own shop right across from Gwyn’s, it seemed to Gwyn she had competition now. Gwyn and Wells started off as teasing and keeping their distance from one another, but secretly they both felt something towards one another. In a way, I felt like Wells was a bit more obsessed with Gwyn initially as he couldn’t help thinking about how beautiful she was, whereas Gwyn tried to not think about how she found certain aspects/ looks about Wells to be attractive. Regardless, both Gwyn and Wells liked each other and that was evident as they spent more together and inevitably started having deeper feelings beyond lustful thoughts. The chemistry between them was good, I got the vibe from Wells that when he saw Gwyn cry or upset, he immediately became protective and was like, “whoever hurt you, I shall hunt them down and hurt them ten times more!”, at least that’s what I imagined in my head while reading. Compared to the last book, this book was about the same in terms of spice, but just a tiny smidge more. With Gwyn’s old college friend, Morgan back in town, it seemed like something nefarious was going on, and even Wells picked up bad vibes from her. Together Wells and Gwyn took it upon themselves to figure out what were Morgan’s intentions, why she was back in Graves Glen, and… what could it mean for the town themselves. I liked how Wells and Gwyn were a team trying to piece the little clues they found, and tried to narrow down what Morgan was really up to. Overall, the book was cute, funny, and lighthearted. Definitely could see the appeal of reading this around Halloween. Wouldn’t say this was “out of this world”, but it had some good aspects that other readers might enjoy compared to me. If you’re looking for a spooky, witchy book that’s lighthearted this is the book for you.

Great Sequel
The Jones witches are back! All is well in Graves Glen after the disaster that Gwyn and Vivi saved the town from certain doom, her shop Something Wicked is doing well and she is happily mentoring a new little group of young witches - what could go wrong? Just as her cousin Vivi leaves on her honeymoon, Gwyn notices her powers starting to fade and as if that isn't bad enough another Penhallow has waltzed back into town setting up shop across the road from her but Gwyn won't let him slide into Graves Glen that easily. When a mysterious witch from their past decides to return to town at the same time Gwyn will have to put her disdain for Wells aside and align with the Penhallows once again in order to protect the town she loves and those who live there. I was so excited to see a sequel to Sterling's hit "The Ex Hex" hitting shelves just in time for Halloween. With another visit to the spooky version of Stars Hollow I am now fully ready for the season. Also, with there still being another single Penhallow brother in Graves Glen, does this mean we get another next year? (Fingers crossed!)

Spunky and heartwarming
As a fan of fan of all the cozy, spooky vibes in The Ex Hex, I was not disappointed in Erin Sterling’s follow up The Kiss Curse. I loved Gwyn in the first book and was so excited to see her — and by association, Sir Purrcival! — shine in this book. Wells was a welcome add to the scene in Graves Glen and proved to be a worthy adversary-turned-ally for Gwyn. This is perfect for any reader that is looking to kick off the spooky season with a delightful, spunky, and ultimately heartwarming novel.
