The international bestselling romantic comedy bursting with warmth, emotional depth, and. . . humor, (Entertainment Weekly) featuring the oddly charming, socially challenged genetics professor, Don, as he seeks true love. The art of love is never a science- Meet Don Tillman, a brilliant yet socially inept professor of genetics, who's decided it's time he found a wife. In the orderly, evidence-based manner with which Don approaches all things, he designs the Wife Project to find his perfect partner- a sixteen-page, scientifically valid survey to filter out the drinkers, the smokers, the late arrivers. Rosie Jarman possesses all these qualities. Don easily disqualifies her as a candidate for The Wife Project (even if she is "quite intelligent for a barmaid"). But Don is intrigued by Rosie's own quest to identify her biological father. When an unlikely relationship develops as they collaborate on The Father Project, Don is forced to confront the spontaneous whirlwind that is Rosieand the realization that, despite your best scientific efforts, you don't find love, it finds you. Arrestingly endearing and entirely unconventional, Graeme Simsion's distinctive debut "navigates the choppy waters of adult relationships, both romantic and platonic, with a fresh take (USA TODAY).

A laugh out loud and quirky, not so typical RomCom

I typically do not gravitate towards RomCom, chick-lit or vanilla romance, but this book was an absolute joy to read. It was so insightful to the way a person on the spectrum thinks internally. I understand the reviews that connect the MMC, Don’s, personality to that of Sheldon from Big Bang Theory, and while I see similarities, I don’t necessarily think it was overdone. The book was funny. I laughed quite a bit, and it left me with a good vibe when I finished. If you’re looking for an engaging, feel good romantic comedy with a male protagonist, I highly recommend this one. I gave it 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5. There wasn’t anything wrong with the book or the writing. It left me fulfilled, but not wowed, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Favorite quote from the book: “Asperger's isn't a fault. It's a variant. It's potentially a major advantage.”

Excellent story line with interesting character

This book had me in stitches. It was fun to read how his life transitioned with the introduction of the female lead. She was nothing he was looking for in a wife, but she was fun, spontaneous and showed him life worth living. This is a great start to the ensuing trilogy. Buy them all, because you don't want to miss the rest of the story.

Good

Heard there might be a movie. From the title, premise and cute cover, this was quite the rollercoaster of emotions. Surprised by how quickly I got through this one.
