Losing track of time

When I first bought this watch, I thought it was awesome looking and received some compliments on it. After a year and a half, I started noticing that the time started to drag so I figured maybe the battery needed to be changed. But even after changing the battery, the time still ended up falling behind like there was something wrong with the mechanism inside. I can no longer wear the watch because the time is always wrong. I don't know what else to do at this point.
