This game should have never been on the shelf

Sooooo many misleading things with this game. Heinrich reported the fire at 12:15 which would have voided his alibi that he was at the hotel. It is never explained how he saw the fire and was able to make the call only minutes after the fire started. it is also never explained how Frida came home to Grandma’s house in the middle of the night. The hotel records state that she and Heinrich checked out the next morning at 6:45 am. But we are left to assume that Frida went home at some point in the middle of the night. If she went home, we can safely assume that Heinrich also could have left the hotel at some point in the night without checking out. It is also never explained why the Vernam cipher was sent to Alma in a text message, implying that both she and Joseph (the victim) had access to his insurance records. My last complaint is that in the letter that Bruna writes in her diary, the word “We” looks like “He” which ended up being very confusing and I was left to assume that Joseph went to his mothers house in the middle of the night. This game felt intentionally misleading and it was frustrating to experience these issues. There were many other issues with the game but for the sake of keeping the rant short I will keep it to myself

Opps they forgot to proofread their fake documents

This game is such a fun concept. Are the creators of the game doing a bad job at making fake evidence look real or did they do it on purpose so because you are supposed to catch a person claiming insurance fraud? Inconsistent addresses on a letter only matched the address on the home insurance upgrade —everywhere else was a different zip code entirely. There was also a botched GPS tracker printout, that actually nullified the data and voided the alibi, but the game answer site said it counts as an alibi. They need someone proofreading these files before launching as a game where people are intentionally going to be combing through every detail to piece together a story.

Too many issues in the game ruined the experience

In case you still want to get the game and have a fun time trying to solve the game, I'll prevent sharing any spoilers. In short, the game encourages you to use a detective-like approach to solving the case. In essence, if there's an alibi, the suspect couldn't have done it. However, in two instances, the "alibi" could easily be discredited. This lead us down a path of questioning that ultimately led to us making two wrong accusations. Sure, we had a lot of fun playing the game over several days--but the amount of time and effort we put into noticing these details that ended up being errors on the game-maker's part ultimately ruined the experience for us.
