The Toy's Fantasy collection is inspired by the age-old German tradition of the Feast of St. Nicholas. For 2020 the collection features Victorian inspired renderings of Santa and woodland creatures in a snowy scene. The plates and platters in this collection feature ruffled-edges, reminiscent of a bunter teller, which German children leave outside their bedroom doors on the eve of December 5th in hopes that St. Nicholas will visit and fill the plate with delicious treats.

Poor glaze cover protection.

Certainly a beautiful design but the paint comes off this square bowl at any slight contact - can't believe this could happen to a bowl I paid so much money for. The glaze covering does zero protection!

attractive festive dish

we saw this dish in the Villeroy & Boch shop on the Kurfurstendam and purchased it by mail order on our return. it was great to see it before buying
