So far so good. Does what it says. No issues and very simple. Wish it came with an extra pail to keep on the counter while one is in the machine.

We use this multiple times a week and our garden loves it!

I’ve run about 12 cycles of food waste, and absolutely love this composter/dehydrator. I had trouble starting it the first time because I held down the start button—it should simply be pressed and released. I only include vegetable waste, egg shells, and coffee grounds, and the resulting product is perfect for my garden. Two-person household fills bucket daily. This input keeps the unit clean. Wonderful invention!

The best purchase I ever made! Even though I don’t cook much at home, I found having an extra bin to be very useful! I’m using the food cycler more than I thought. I have had no issue with it and I love this so much. This is so worth the money. Thank you Vitamix!

I live in a condo and have 3 neighbours providing me with their fruit and veg waste. I can’t wait to use the by product in my cottage garden . I only wish the composter had a timer so I can set it to start during off peak electricity hours

This is a great machine. I have had it for a little over a month. I run a cycle every day or two. I keep the bucket and lid on my kitchen counter, and the machine itself is readily accessible in the garage. Everything goes into the bucket: fruit and veggie scraps, old cat food, paper towels, anything that stayed in the fridge too long. It all get dried and ground. I dump the end result into a five gallon bucket in the garage; it was about half full when I emptied the bucket into my compost pile today. This machine has solved my problems regarding how to compost my organic waste without creating an attractant for wildlife. I love it.

Beyond thrilled with my foodcycler! We have reduced our waste probably by 75%. Considering I live where are not able to composting with our town services, nor is it safe to outdoor compost due to wildlife concerns. I would dock this down half a star though as there is still definitely a scent to the compost. Unfortunately I can't utilize this as fertilizer outdoors as it will attract wildlife. I tried it in my backyard which is heavily fenced, and my dog was digging looking for food in it - and he's not a digger. Overall thrilled with the purchase though! It's been so great to reduce reduce our household waste.
