Closed black shoes are difficult to wear in the summer because they are visually heavy and attract heat. The delicate multi-strap style of this shoe allows more skin to show through, lightens the look and allows more air circulation. This makes them perfect to wear with all black outfits when temperatures are high. These shoes are not leather, but this is not obvious because of the quality of the material and the small scale. The reason I rated this shoe 4 stars versus 5, is the height of the heel could have been designed slightly lower without sacrificing the look, to make them more comfortable. Not designed to wear all day, but happy with the purchase.

Comfortable shoe. I had to walk upstairs to get to the occasion. The strap over the toes a slight bit uncomfortable but not too bad. All in all a good purchase.
