disappointing - Thin fabric that pilled terribly

This is a nice looking set but the fabric is very poor quality. It's a loose knit that is thin and looks like it will snag. I washed it for Mom before she ever wore it and it pilled terribly! A lint roller helped, but there were so many pills left afterward it still looks tacky!
