Stainless Steel 12" Covered Fry Pan
Product Details
Web ID: 1174035Lifetime investment!
This 10” 3-ply stainless frying pan is our first All-Clad cookware. So far we have enjoyed using it very much, although it did take adjustment to preheating using only medium heat. Small negative - It would have been helpful to have written use and care instructions included with the pan. We expect this pan to last a lifetime with diligent care!

Stainless Steel is the Real Deal
Brilliant piece of kit for the home chef. Added it to my 10 and 12 inch skillets

Pretty
The handle doesn’t feel ergonomic at all due to the size of the pan, but it’s not really an issue unless you struggle to lift objects of that weight. Overall for one of all clads cheaper pieces it’s beautiful and works flawlessly.

Lightweight pan with lots of pros and one con
Bought this 14” 3ply stainless frypan about a year ago, so a long-term review. The pros are its large cooking area, fast conduction of heat, nicely sloped sides and quick cooling. The handle is shorter but given the relatively light weight of the pan, that is not a problem, particular with the helper handle on the other side. It cleans up nicely for a stainless steel pan. The major con is that although it lays flat on a conduction surface (sits on the largest conduction zone on a Wolf range), it develops a temporary warp in the center rising when I heat it at any temperature above warm on an induction top. If I put a 1/4 cup of oil in the cold pan, the oil spreads out perfectly from edge to edge, as it is flat internally. Turn the cooktop to a setting 3 (out of 10) and the center pops up a bit and the oil rushes to a ring at the edges of the pan, so food placed in the center sticks more. Turn off the heat and the interior of the pan goes perfectly flat again, so it’s not a permanent warp.. For comparison, my 12” copper core stays flat on the same 3 (of 10) heat setting, so it’s the 14” fry pan construction, rather than the cooktop.
