Initially surprised at the seeming durability of this set over my previous, the blades definitely having a metal sense to them, the issue was resolved when I googled both sets. This is faux ceramic, ie metal glazed over with a ceramic coating. They're lovely. The awesome savings from Macy's President's Day sales cannot be overrated. Thank you again!

Consistent Quality
I've bought several sets of these for personal use and for gifts. You cannot beat the price of the knives and they are sharp for a number of years, making them both economical and great for long-term use. I have almost become a total ceramic knife convert as a result of using this quality set.
