When my Mikasa Hampton Bays became reduced through breakage, I thought it time to get a new set. We settled on Mikasa Swirl service for 12. What started out a pretty, understated set, has not held up well over the years - the dishes and bowls have crazed creating an unattractive appearance. They have not held up very well. Finally tired of looking at them and getting new dishes. My Corelle dishes still look brand new (we use them in the Microwave.)

Fantastic packaging!
I needed to replace our old daily china we got 20 years ago, as several pieces had broken and that line’s been discontinued. I loved the look of Mikasa Swirl and hoped everything would arrive unbroken (always a risk when ordering china). The packaging was so well done! All pieces were intact. We’re really enjoying our new dinnerware and have had several compliments from friends/family. If they ever expand Swirl to include serving pieces, I’d buy them in a heartbeat.

So happy with this set. We ordered 3 sets and countless additional pieces. The pattern is perfect. Would be great if they still carried the butter dish, cream and sugar set, etc.

I purchased this set over a decade ago and it has held up amazingly well. Only now are some pieces starting to chip after 4 moves and 14 years later. The only thing I wish it had were pasta bowls, which you can buy separately, but they always seem to be out of stock. This is a long lasting, durable set! I still get compliments on it.

This set is simple yet beautiful. Great for everyday use. One of the bowls arrived broken, and customer service was very responsive. I wish there were more serving accessories to go with this set.
