love it but the stone is dull

I love this ring so much but am apprehensive to keep it because the opal stone is super dull and you can’t even tell it is opal unless you’re shinning a bright (flashlight) light. I have several other opal and rose gold pieces from Macy’s and this is by far the dullest one. I wish I could see it in store to see if it’s just my stone.
