Rust found in the bottom tea kettle

I purchased this tea pot 9/2020 On 9/5/2021, I looked into the tea kettle and it is rusted inside on the bottom of the tea kettle. I do not know when it started to become rusted inside. I really love this pot, however I will never drink from it again.

extremely cute

Was disappointed I could not put on the burner. I thought I would be able to put the teapot on the burner boil water that way. I do not like that I boiler water then pour over teabag. That to me is a hassle.
