a dramatic salad bowl

I use it as a fruit bowl, although it might be crowded if the fruits include a pineapple and a bunch of banana; it is only 8 inches diameter. It is a lovely piece, the pattern of wildflowers rise from the bottom and a few brilliant flowers are clearly seen almost at the top, discreet decor but beautiful. It's a bit thick though. I always think of fine porcelain as something that should be as thin as the duchess of windsor.
