Unhappy

I ordered a bed from Macy’s over the phone, speaking directly with a representative. When the bed arrived, it was damaged. I immediately called Macy’s and spent over an hour on the phone, only to be told I had to deal with a third party—Streamdale Furniture. This is unacceptable because when I placed my order, I specifically asked if I would be dealing with any third-party company. I made it very clear that I only wanted to work directly with Macy’s. The representative assured me that I would not have to deal with anyone else. That turned out to be false. To make matters worse, the number Macy’s gave me for Streamdale Furniture was disconnected. So I was left with no support, no resolution, and no accountability from Macy’s. Customers should be extremely cautious when ordering furniture from Macy’s. In my experience, they were dishonest and passed me off to a company I never agreed to work with.
