Disappointed!! I bought two sets of these towels as a gift for my sister. The first time they were laundered, a six inch stretch of the hem came unsewn on two of the hand towels. I thought they were going to be quality towels that had been discounted for Black Friday--maybe not.
This towel feels very thin and cheap
I should first preface my review by saying the bath towel I bought WAS cheap since it was on sale for an extremely low price. I knew I was taking a chance buying it. I thought that since it was Macy's selling it, it might be just fine. Unfortunately, I've never owned a a towel this thin. Maybe the towels become absorbent with washing, I just don't like thin towels, as my late mother always did. The towels will be returned and I'm looking for a towel to take their place. It goes to show that I should have paid more attention to the description and not the price. And everyone should note that over 600 people gave these towels high praise, I'm in the minority. :)
Threads Pulled
The quality of these towels reflects the price; they're not a good value. I purchased a number of them. One had threads snagged before being washed. Others had threads get pulled in the wash. They're basically falling apart. I'll be returning them as defective.
The WORST towels I have EVER bought!
These towels shed pill more than the hairiest pet! I have washed them twice, and I am covered with pill when I dry myself. PLEASE don't waste your money buying them.

I received towels today. I ordered them in silver. I LOVE THEM. They are perfect. Great PRICE. Thanks Macy's.
You Get What You Pay For!!!
I'm completely baffled as to why these towels are so well rated by Macy's customers. I bought a set back before Christmas in a color called "Aurora Pink", which isn't available anymore. Two months ago, I bought the "Green" color. I wash all my towels before I use them. I washed the pink set with some similarly colored towels I already own. I washed in cold water, gentle cycle with a mild detergent and dried on low. When they came out of the dryer, there were patches of white and a lighter colored pink all over the Sunham towels, giving them a tie dyed appearance. All the other towels washed with them came out of the dryer looking as good as ever and those towels are 10 years old, STILL hold their color and are extremely durable, but I paid much more for them. The Sunham bath towel is the smallest bath towel I've ever seen. They had several snags on them even though they'd never been used and weren't washed with anything that would've snagged them. Now I'm stuck with these cheap, discolored towels that are of no use to me other than drying off my car after I wash it. They're made of cheap, thin cotton and quality control before the manufacturer packages them for distribution is clearly lacking. Thankfully, I didn't open, remove tags and wash the green set I bought, so I was able to return those. I knew the price of these towels was too good to be true. I do NOT recommend these towels to anyone under ANY circumstances! Spend more money for much higher quality towels which will last for many, many years with proper care. Remember, you get what you pay for!
