Feedback on Choosing Villeroy & Boch Oval Placemat

I ordered this placemat online and I chose the white placemat because it looked clean and elegant, however, I didn’t realize how delicate it would be. While the reversible design is nice, the white color requires extra care from spillage. I would say for everyday use, the black option might be a better choice.
