Does not last

The first one we received had a broken plastic piece. The second unit, made good coffee, alas, just for about a week. The pump soon would not produce enough pressure and stop working. I'm sad to see it go, as it had so much potential. Macy's return service rocks. I am looking now for a different product.

Looks Stainless, Too Much Plastic

Just pulled this out of the box and it will be going back. The stainless steel is only on part of the outer shell and it is very thin. The base of the drip tray is chrome colored plastic, the big selector knob is plastic (looks chrome, but plastic) and the main reason for my return: The housing where the filter is locked to is painted chrome color, but is plastic. The threads inside are plastic as well (see pics) The filter itself is heavy steel, and locking steel into a plastic housing is simply a matter of time before it cracks. Very disappointed.
