They're Not Kidding - This Is Supreme!
The Automatic Burr Mill grinder has such a logical design, it's amazing that all coffee grinders weren't designed that way to begin with. Easy to remove to access the ground beans, and easy to keep clean.

Design is lacking - not fun to use and messy
Two stars because it does grind coffee. So far it grinds coffee, that is. Design and performance are fair at best. Loading the hopper is a pain because the lid doesn't come off cleanly, which causes the entire hopper to rise off the base and spill coffee beans out of the bottom. The grind selector feels rickety for a higher-end small appliance, but appears to work. The slider that regulates how many beans are ground doesn't appear to work at all--the same amount of ground coffee is produced regardless of the setting, and there's a disconcerting hollow sound while grinding, which makes it seem like not enough beans are getting into the grinder mechanism. Collecting the ground coffee from the plastic receptacle is clunky and difficult--opening this lid is just as bad as opening the hopper lid, and coffee grounds spill everywhere. In fact, performing any function with this grinder spills coffee grounds and/or beans on the counter and releases coffee dust in the air. I have to wipe down my counters thoroughly after every use. Besides the baseline functionality, the only upside to having this appliance is that the entire kitchen has a wonderful aroma of freshly ground coffee all day long from the grounds distribution system outlined above.

I would have given this grinder five stars if the lid snapped on. The lid needs to be made so it stays on better.

Cuisinart Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill
We replaced our existing Cuisinart Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill, which died after over 20 years of daily service, with the same model. We liked the features and performance or the old unit so we decided to replace it with the same model. We are very satisfied.
