In this expanded edition of the 2017 mega-bestseller, updated with brand new sections like DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY, SUGAR COATED LIES and DON'T NEGOTIATE WITH WEAKNESS, readers will discover new ways to become stronger, smarter, and healthier.Jocko Willink's methods for success were born in the SEAL Teams, where he spent most of his adult life, enlisting after high school and rising through the ranks to become the commander of the most highly decorated special operations unit of the war in Iraq. In Discipline Equals Freedom, the #1 New York Times bestselling coauthor of Extreme Ownership describes how he lives that mantra: the mental and physical disciplines he imposes on himself in order to achieve freedom in all aspects of life. Many books offer advice on how to overcome obstacles and reach your goals-but that advice often misses the most critical ingredient: discipline. Without discipline, there will be no real progress. Discipline Equals Freedom covers it all, including strategies and tactics for conquering weakness, procrastination, and fear, and specific physical training presented in workouts for beginner, intermediate, and advanced athletes, and even the best sleep habits and food intake recommended to optimize performance.FIND YOUR WILL, FIND YOUR DISCIPLINE-AND YOU WILL FIND YOUR FREEDOM.

Same as last book

This is basically just Extreme Ownership but without the war stories and the addition of workout routines. I threw it back in the shelf after about 15 minutes. Major disappointment.

Another Amazing book from Jocko W.

It is an easy-to-read, concrete and focused book. From my point of view: a book that should not be missing in every home, it is a great tool for self-improvement and personal development with simple but forceful practices that will lead you to success by managing your particular emotions and behaviors.

Life changing

This is some great stuff. Stresses personal accountability for everything. Reading it makes you motivated to go take charge of you own life. I experienced it while in a dark place and it helped me. Don’t let the one star review on here influence your decision. B&N needs to take that nonsense down.

Amazing

This book is a must if you want and need motivation for any obstacle in your life. Simple, straight to the point, and not full of cheesy lines and mantras like most books. PS don't listen to K kotcheck (below review) they never read a book and are more than likely just a PC baby.

Scary

I just picked this book up from a free little library . After looking it over, I’m getting the feeling that it might be something a Trump terrorist might enjoy. Extreme, hysterical, toxic masculinity emanates from its pages.I’ll make sure to dispose of it in a biohazard waste container, it concerns me that it came from a house in the neighborhood I’m currently living in.
