great edge refinement

This stone helps refine my blade edge after using on a course stone. The synthetic material means no soaking or oiling so its ready to use at all times. It also has very little wear so it will last for a long time.

must have for ultimate sharpness

This stone puts the finest edge on my knives. The synthetic construction means no soaking, just spritz it with a little water. The material is durable and doesn't wear quickly allowing for many years of sharpening.

This 1,000 grit whetstone is a medium grit. You can use oil or water, no need to soak (It’s made from a synthetic material) you can just sprinkle on the oil or water and start sharpening. I would suggest buying a few higher grits on top of this 1,000. The more polished your blade is the less resistance you’ll have when cutting.
