Takes a beating and keeps cooling

Bought 2 of these back in 2020 and had them in my box truck running 24/7 up until 2021 when we were involved in a serious accident totaling our truck. It wrecked a cheaper fridge but these came out with some dents and beauty marks but runs like when we purchased them. Cools extremly quickly when using the fast freeze function. Love the 12v auto switch when the ac power cuts out without having to unplug and plug cords when you have both 12v and 120v supplying power. Only negative would be they need to make a removable filter for the compressor vents because in my case I have 2 huskies and they shed like crazy which will kill a compressor in a mater of months. I added self adhesive velcro tape around the inlet and exhaust and used some Fibre filter media used for house filters and cut them to size so I can replace it weekly when it clogs up. It would of also been nice to have the display on the front but that's my personal desire so no ding for that though.

Great garage beer fridge.

I've had this for over 6 years and it's keeping barrel aged beers at 43F all that time, out in the garage, with never a problem. I originally had the 85qt size and I bought this one after the 85qt had been running for over a year. Both are still going strong.

Cool Refrigerator

So our new Whynter 65 quart freezer/refrigerator has passed our second test, this time camping in 97°+ weather for 3 days. We set the temperature at 28°F and it maintained an inside temp 30-31°F, with very frequent opening and closing of the lid, in a un-airconditioned camper.

Great fridge, good price, couple issues.

I bought this 65qt fridge freezer 3 years ago and have driven with it all over the USA. With the addition of the bag for extra insulation it would keep food perfectly cold! For the money it was a great fridge. The only complaints over long term are this: 1) the plastic coated baskets are not durable enough the coating cracks and rust seeps out into the fridge. 2) the same baskets the larger one rubs on the bottom of the fridge surface and makes small gloves. 3) when we less stuff in it the verted area would rattle (just annoying) but not prohibitively. And after three years of nearly daily use it will not cool below 75 F deg.. not sure why I hear the compressor turn on?

Awesome Fridge/ Freezer

I normally don't do reviews, but the longer I have used this in the freezer position the more impressed I become. I have attached a photo; sensor 1 is the house refrigerator/freezer; sensor 2 is the FM-65G. I am using it as a freezer. The freezer on sensor 1; the door is not normally opened or closed during the day, but it radically changes from the photo from maximum and minimum temperatures all over the place. The sensor 2 is stable at -1° it is set for 0° +1° it is much more stable than the house refrigerator. I really like the unit and am glad that I chose it.

Love My Freezer for 6 years now

I love it worked great. I want it back working but I cannot find anyone on the whynter support site to talk to about why it is not freezing or cool anymore. It turns on but does not cool. Just want to get it fixed.

Excellent freezer

Placed cooler in “basement” area of our 5th wheel trailer. Plugged it in to both an electric plug and the battery. Bought a “cigarette lighter type” end, and attached it to wires coming out of battery to other places (lights, etc). When we were plugged in at campsite, freezer ran off electric, and when driving freezer ran off battery. Freezer maintained a 0-3 degrees (F) entire time. Drove to Alaska, and freezer held about 50-60 pounds of fish (4 halibut and 4 salmon- packaged in 1.5 pound packages). Note, however, the freezer does drain the battery, so we never had the freezer only running on battery overnight.
