There are about as many styles and colors of the types of pants known as blue jeans, as well as other articles of clothing in the Levi’s blue line, as there are people wearing them. And, their popularity continues to grow. What makes them so popular?
Actually, it’s a number of things, starting with the very material used to make them. Denim is the fabric of choice for making Levi’s blue garments. This material is lightweight yet sturdy, and just gets more comfortable and softer with wear.
In addition, the original blue color, whether it’s a very light, almost white blue or the darkest blue imaginable, fades with each washing. Rather than detracting from the appearance of the skinny jean (just one of the styles available), however, it only adds to it.
The fading process can be slowed by turning the garment inside out before washing it and letting it air dry. It’s also a good idea to wash a Levi’s blue garment with simililary colored items, especially those in darker shades, to prevent bleeding onto other clothes or light surfaces.
If the natural shading and fading as well as the other changes that denim goes through weren’t enough, there are so many styles to choose from including the boot-cut style.
Boot-cut jeans are wider at the bottom of the leg than straight leg or skinny jeans are, but not as wide as flared style. This slight difference in the width makes it easy for them to fit over high-top shoes or boots. The result is a neat, smooth appearance.
When selecting this type of garment, especially jeans, it is a good idea to go by how they look and feel when tried on than by size information. Depending on the style selected, it is not unusual to find that a smaller size or a larger size is warranted. Finding the right size is easy, though, because there is a full range of sizes.
Levi’s blue garments, in styles, colors, and sizes for men and women, are available for purchase at Macy’s.
