Programmable coffee maker

I had a hamilton Beach Programmable coffee maker for about 10 year and if finally stopped working. So I wanted another. It has a Stainless steel carafe which keeps the coffee hot for over an hour. I love the fact that I can set my coffee at night and it is ready when I get up. Only problem is , IT WAS HARD TO FIND A REPLACEMENT. But I finally found one.

Nice little coffee brewer

The Hamilton Beach 46899R10-cup is slightly smaller than the 12-cup Krupp it replaces and is one of the few that features a metal carafe. These 2 features, plus 3 settings for brewing strength, were its selling points for us. Quite happy with it so far, and hope to be for many years to come.

DIFFICULT TO USE

This product is difficult to use. You have to have the filter bucket just right to get it to close. You have to have the water container and the filter area open. The water is difficult to pour in and a full pot doesn’t even make it to the 12 cups it shows. If you have 12 full cups it overflows and coffee grounds pour over. Often times even if I just have a couple cups I find coffee grounds in my coffee.

A Really Nice Procuct

I really like this coffee maker. The thermal caraffe helps keep my coffee hot. It does lose some warmth after a few hours. It's a bit taller than anticipated. My cabninets are low. It makes a great cup of coffee. The programable feature is a nice touch. Overall a very nice coffee from a trusted brand.

Coffee maker research so you don't have to

I was looking for a new programmable coffee maker because my old one stopped working. I researched by reading reviews, comparing online models and looking at different types of coffee makers in stores. I never buy anything unless I do the hard job of researching. I picked the Hamilton Beach Programmable Thermal Coffee Maker for it's sleek style and the thermal carafe. The coffee stays hot for a few hours without getting that old coffee taste. I also wanted the cone type coffee filters because they seem to make better coffee. I love this coffee maker and I highly recommend it.
